Scott McKane:
Splitting Colonies to expand your Apiary
Scott McKane is the Founder and Owner of McKane Apiaries. In 2010, he became interested in owning bees, and after attending a beginner's beekeeping class Jan 2011, he started his journey of becoming a beekeeper.
In 2020, he made the move to the Austin, Texas area. McKane Apiaries is now supplying Austin with hive leasing contracts, colony removals, beekeeping classes, and a hive management option. They are growing their apiary to have a vast array of hive styles, from the typical Langstroth hive,to our favorite AZ hive.
